Dear Rebecca, thankyou for being so accommodating! We love the Teahouse and will definitely be back. The movies, position, set up, secluded lemon garden and the chocolate – all perfect.
Thankyou so much Rebecca & Jack for the privilege of staying in your truly beautiful boutique accommodation. So very peaceful & the nbest night sleep we’ve both had. Breakfast was sublime. We can’t wait to share our experiences we’ve had here in Launceston. We’ll be back.
Thankyou so much for the last minute accommodation! Breakfast was divine and the room is incredible! 5 star service and an exquisite end to our first weekend away together : ) Thanks again.
Thank you for our beautiful room and lovely breakfast. It was a real treat! We are looking forward to returning and staying longer next time!
“I stayed in la petite chambre Matisse, intrigued by the idea of art, design and accommodation, not knowing quite what to expect. What I found was a unique experience of art and music and beauty and the feeling of a bygone era in a most contemporary way. The interpretation of history and art is exquisitely presented. The welcome and service was warm though not intrusive, and the attention to detail and the modern layouts including the luxury of apple TV music and movies, the glass and stainless steel bathroom with underfloor heating…I could easily get used to this beauty and space. Thankyou Rebecca and Jack for sharing and making this historic home and space with like minded people. Good Luck.”
In your beautiful Ballroom I had a little fantasy. I dreamt of wonder, past memories, things that made me laugh and people who made me cry. In the morning when I woke the music of a distant choir sang to me like angels floating above the convent. Thankyou for your Ballroom of Love.”
Such a beautiful place to spend our wedding night. Every part of our stay was amazing and we will definitely be back in the future. Thank for two great nights. Thank you, Courtnee & Toby.
Hi Rebecca, Thankyou for the awesome room – loved the view, loved the quirky touches & LOVED the food. Thanks too for all of your immediate & caring attention re the wifi problems – a terrific retreat from the real world!
A beautiful stay in the best and only place to stay in Launceston. Love the outdoor bath…decadently bathed 3x in 12 hours! Also must comment on the Ballroom where I have stayed numerous times. Gorgeously furnished and especially love the Tasdance photos…a reminder that Graeme Murphy the famous choreographer is a hometown boy. PS I was the first Asian in the Australian Ballet and Graeme choreographed his first three act ballet on me…Papillon! See you next year.
After a challenging round at spectacular Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course we meandered on towards Launceston, Historic Hatherley House awaited us, what a wonderful treat. Old fashioned elegance and grace fused with fabulous luxurious ‘mod cons’ were a perfect mix. It struck me as a quiet and private oasis. We stayed in the Ballroom Suite, its dance theme features a magnificent modern mural. There was plenty of room to dance if the spirit moved you. After a well earned spa, we enjoyed the mountain views with a drink on the balcony before strolling into the city for dinner. The area is known as Launceston’s Rose Bowl and it’s easy to see why. The historic gardens and leafy parks were bursting with colour. Delicious Tassie food and wine were plentiful, everything from quirky cafes to innovative 5 star dining. ‘Pierre’s’ on George St was our pick from many great looking choices. After our stay we were sorry to be leaving Hatherley, it had charmed us with it’s art, architecture and comfort. In a word superb. We’ll be back.
